A little lunch brand with a big heart.

Beam Bento makes weekly bento lunches for kids from organic, farmers-market, made-from-scratch ingredients. It exists to take the mental load off lunch for busy parents, and to get even picky eaters excited about real food. The look is "my kid drew this meets high-end organic": loose, joyful, hand-drawn, and unmistakably made with care. Named for Jade's two kids, Koko and Lou.

Logo

The logo is the marker sun mark (our "Beam") locked to the Beam Bento wordmark in Shantell Sans. The sun is the hero; it carries the warmth and works on its own as an icon.

Clear space & minimum size

Beam Bento

Keep clear space of at least the sun's radius on all sides. Don't let the mark shrink below 28px (icon) or the wordmark below 90px wide.

Do & don't

Do keep the sun on cream or a solid brand color, with breathing room.

Don't recolor the sun, add outlines/shadows, stretch the wordmark, or place it on a busy photo.

Do use the wordmark alone when the sun already appears nearby.

Color

A bright marker-box palette on warm cream. Cobalt leads, marigold is the sunshine, coral is energy and calls-to-action, leaf keeps it fresh, ink does the linework and text.

Accessible pairings: ink on cream for body text; cream/white on cobalt, coral, leaf, or ink for buttons and labels. Avoid marigold for small text (use it as fill, not type).

Type

Three Google fonts (all free for commercial use). Shantell Sans is the hand that carries the brand; Permanent Marker is the handwritten note; Hanken Grotesk keeps menus and fine print clean and readable.

The cast & the world

Original marker-and-gouache art (generated and owned, prompted on the look, not copied from any artist). Use the food characters for stickers, menus, and delight; the spots for "how it works"; the hero and pattern for big moments and backgrounds.

Hand-drawn marks

Crisp, scalable SVG icons drawn in the same wobbly marker line as the art, in ink with palette fills. Recolor freely for UI.

Draw-on & wobble

Things sketch themselves in as if a marker is moving across the page, then keep a gentle living wobble, the hand is never fully still. Use it lightly: a logo draw-on at load, a soft wobble on the wordmark, a doodle that completes itself. Always respect reduced-motion.
